Christmas 2007 Hottest beauty and skin care gift ideas for teen girls

These days there is a lot more to beauty and skin care then knowing what color to use or how to take makeup off. It is now about the whole package. It is about knowing how to apply and use makeup and skin care products. It is also about having healthy skin through eating right, exercising and drinking plenty of water. I have created a list of Christmas 2007 hottest beauty and skin care gift ideas for teen girls.

1) Education about makeup and makeup use. It is important for her to know what colors look good on her, what makeup works best with her skin, how to properly apply and remove makeup, and how to keep her skin healthy.

Teen makeover day. The best gift is to find a real make-up artist to teach her how to properly take care of her skin and apply makeup. Knowing how to take care of her skin and how show of her best features and hid others with the use of make-up will be something that is useful no matter what style, fad or fashion she is in today or in the future. It is important to find someone who is actually teaching skin care and make-up application, not some one marketing a product. What is important is not a type of make-up or product but the knowledge of what different products do, how to use them, and do you even need to use them. A good teacher will cover skin care, how to prevent acne and how to deal with it when it shows up and how to apply make-up to look her best no matter what style or fad she is in. This is useful for girls into who have never put on makeup, ones who are minimalists right up to Goths as the knowledge and principles are all the same no matter the look, style or fad she is currently into. This is such a great gift because it takes away any fear of make up, reduces the number of make up disasters, and helps with self-esteem.

Creative Cosmetics - The Science of Skin Care. This is all about learning what is in skin care products and what they actually do. A teenager will learn about basic dermatology and the chemistry of oils, gels and lotions. Then they get to make some skin care products as experiments. They also learn how skin care products are applied as well as the hygiene and safety necessary for proper skin care. The kit includes seventeen different cosmetics base substances to make personalized makeup, lip gloss, body lotion, face cream and shower gel. If the teen girl does not know her colors or is learning than a large multi color kit with lots of makeup is the best option to let her experiment. Once she knows her colors then find kits or sets around those colors. Please include makeup-removing products with any gift of makeup, such as makeup removing creams and face washes. It is just as important to properly remove the makeup, as it is to learn how to put it on.
